About The Position

Eaton’s 12-week paid Early Career Internship Program in Information Technology gives students hands-on experience using data, AI, digital tools, and connected systems to improve business processes and product manufacturing and delivery. Interns work at manufacturing sites and with functional teams, learn from business and technology leaders, and contribute to high-impact projects supporting technology improvements and innovation across Eaton’s business units and manufacturing sites. Assignments vary and may involve mapping business processes and their supporting data and systems; scaling digital tools for production execution, shop-floor visibility, traceability, and connectivity; building or improving data pipelines, models, and analytics; and testing applications, workflows, integrations, or AI-enabled capabilities to address defined business problems. The program includes exposure to different roles and participation in the LDP Core Learning Series, with opportunities to develop functional expertise and leadership capabilities, collaborate with senior leaders, and participate in mentorship and peer engagement. The internship concludes with a formal presentation of success stories to organizational leaders and feedback on performance. After completing the internship, participants may be considered for Eaton’s Information Technology Development Program after graduation. The role requires geographic flexibility to relocate within the United States for the program’s duration. Travel may be up to 25% within a local region, as determined by the assignment manager. Interns are responsible for transportation to and from the worksite and incidental business travel; approved required business travel other than travel to the worksite will be reimbursed.
