About The Position

The EAF Lead builds a strong safety culture and leads the selection, training, and development of the team, working with plant leadership to set consistent standards and evaluate teammates for operational positions. Leads must be willing to cross-train across positions within the department and fill in as needed to support operational needs.

Requirements

  • Melt Shop Experience
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Prior teammate training and development.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
  • Ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
  • Teamwork - Working as part of a coordinated effort with others to achieve a common goal.
  • Attention to Detail - Thorough in accomplishing tasks, no matter how small they may be, taking care to make sure that expectations are met, and being observant to changes in the environment.
  • Communication Skills - The ability to give full attention to what others are saying and communicating information so that others will understand.
  • Coordination - Effective with planning, managing time and making adjustments relative to the team's activity in order to maintain efficiency in the process flow.
  • Dependability - Being reliable, responsible, and committed to fulfilling obligations.
  • Initiative – Independently and proactively seeking out work that needs to be done and being willing to take on responsibilities and challenges.
  • Accountability - Displays responsibility and ownership with work habits and has the ability to hold others accountable for desired results.
