About The Position

The E2E Finance Architect owns enterprise Finance solution architecture across SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO), subledger accounting, product costing, fixed assets, Project Accounting, SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM), and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A). The role provides architecture leadership for the current IAO transformation and maintains long-term ownership of the Finance technology roadmap after implementation. It partners with Accounting, Manufacturing Finance, FP&A, business process owners, IT, and implementation partners to deliver integrated, scalable, and controlled Finance solutions. The architect defines and governs Finance target architecture, solution designs, integration patterns, and standards; leads design across accounting, costing, profitability, planning, reporting, treasury, and tax; and ensures financial controls, data governance, security, reconciliation, and auditability. The role provides design authority throughout validation, build, integration testing, user acceptance testing, data migration, cutover, and stabilization, and takes ongoing ownership of the roadmap, enhancements, releases, complex production issues, technical debt, and continuous improvement. It also mentors solution leads and communicates architectural decisions and trade-offs to senior stakeholders. The position requires successful delivery of at least one end-to-end SAP Finance transformation in the semiconductor industry as a Finance architect or equivalent design lead, from design through go-live and stabilization. It requires 12 or more years of SAP Finance experience, including 5 or more years leading solution architecture or enterprise Finance design for complex, global organizations.

  • Deep functional and architectural expertise in SAP FICO, including SAP S/4HANA Finance, accounting and subledgers, product costing, fixed assets, and Project Accounting.
  • Demonstrated solution design and delivery experience with both SAP PaPM and SAC Planning for FP&A, including integration with core Finance systems.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing economics, inventory and product costing, capital-intensive operations, and their impact on accounting and planning.
  • Experience governing cross-functional integrations, financial data migration and reconciliation, testing, cutover, and post-production stabilization.
  • Ability to translate accounting policies and business requirements into solution designs, lead design decisions across teams, and influence senior Finance and IT stakeholders.

  • Experience with SAP Group Reporting, SAP Datasphere, BW/4HANA, SAP BTP, or integration with enterprise planning and data platforms.
  • Experience with global Finance templates, multi-country deployments, parallel accounting, intercompany processes, and transfer-pricing integration.
  • Experience establishing a Finance architecture practice or center of excellence and delivering measurable improvements in close efficiency, costing accuracy, planning effectiveness, and system reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Define and govern Finance target architecture, solution designs, integration patterns, and architectural standards; resolve cross-functional design issues and maintain consistency across accounting, costing, profitability, planning, and reporting.
  • Lead architecture for general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany and bank accounting, financial close, and subledger-to-general-ledger reconciliation, ensuring consistent financial data, reporting dimensions, and auditability.
  • Architect standard and actual costing, Material Ledger, inventory valuation, work in process, overhead allocation, production variances, and profitability analysis, addressing semiconductor manufacturing requirements such as wafer fabrication, assembly and test, yield and scrap impacts, and internal or outsourced manufacturing.
  • Own architecture for fixed-asset acquisition, assets under construction, capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and retirement; integrate project structures, budgeting, commitments, cost collection, and settlement with fixed assets and financial accounting.
  • Define SAP PaPM architecture for cost allocations, profitability models, business-driver calculations, and scenario analysis, with transparent calculation logic, traceable results, and reconciliation to financial source systems.
  • Lead SAC architecture for FP&A budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and management reporting covering operating expenses, capital expenditures, workforce costs, and integrated financial statements; connect planning models with actuals and operational drivers.
  • Lead architecture for treasury, including cash and liquidity management, bank account management, payments and bank connectivity, cash forecasting, and treasury risk management; integrate with financial accounting, banking platforms, and FP&A.
  • Own SAP-to-Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE integration architecture for indirect tax determination, calculation, and compliance reporting, including sales and use tax, VAT, and GST; ensure accurate postings, reconciliation, and auditability.
  • Provide design authority through solution validation, build, integration testing, user acceptance testing, data migration, cutover, and stabilization; review partner deliverables, resolve critical design gaps, and support business and operational readiness.
  • Maintain the Finance architecture roadmap after transformation; govern enhancements and releases, guide resolution of complex production issues, reduce technical debt, drive continuous improvement, and establish knowledge transfer and support ownership.
  • Ensure Finance integration with procurement, sales, manufacturing, supply chain, projects, and enterprise data platforms; embed financial controls, data governance, security, and reconciliation into designs.
  • Mentor solution leads and communicate architecture decisions and trade-offs to senior stakeholders across Finance and IT.
