About The Position

PDHGROUP is a values-driven provider and installer of Division 8, Division 10, Division 27, and Division 28 construction products. The Carpenter 1 installs doors and mechanical hardware and may transfer between projects as needed. The role requires reading architectural floor plans, communicating professionally with customers and team members, and maintaining effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Minimum tools include safety-toe work boots, a cordless drill set with tips (impact and driver drill), required hand tools, a tool cart, a ladder, a skill saw, and an angle grinder. The position is located at CBS Door and Hardware in Manhattan, Kansas. Salary is undisclosed.

Requirements

Cursory knowledge of the construction industry and construction processes.
Proficiency in installing doors and mechanical hardware.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
Ability to work in various weather elements.
Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to customers and team members.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.

Responsibilities

Read architectural floor plans.
Install doors and mechanical hardware, including exit devices, closers, mortise locks, and mullions.
Transfer between multiple projects as needed.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
Communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and team members.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
