Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Reads and comprehends simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Writes simple correspondence.
  • Communicates effectively and pleasantly with guests, vendors and fellow associates at all times.
  • Performs mathematical skills using units of American money and weight measurement, and volume.
  • Applies common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Manages problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Meets the state minimum requirement to work baler and trash compactor.
  • Valid Driver's License or State I.D. Card

Responsibilities

  • Reporting for assigned shifts on time, and on a regular basis, capable of communicating clearly and demonstrating suitable physical abilities to safety perform assigned tasks and duties, prepared to provide excellent service.
  • Promoting sales and exceptional guest experience through e-commerce.
  • Focusing on quality control and accuracy of the shopping site.
  • Understanding and capable of performing the following: implementing the selection of the best possible products, using equipment provided (laptop and scanner) used to select items and process orders, executing proper bagging and storage techniques for products based on temperature and in-store procedures.
  • Communicating and completing guests’ special order requests with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Finding a way to make our guests happy.
  • Ensuring all work performed in the department is completed in accordance with all local, state, federal and company rules, regulations, and policies regarding workplace safety, food handling safety, and guest services.
  • Participating actively in the Grocery Department’s accident reduction plan including: cleaning floors, sanitizing, and recognizing shelf order, safety features of all machinery, store evacuation plan, robbery policy, case temperatures, and storing regulations.
