About The Position

The E Commerce Director is responsible for the development, launch, and ongoing management of the company’s e commerce business unit. This role owns the strategy, execution, and financial performance of the digital marketplace channel, including Amazon and other online platforms, supporting the Polybag and Paper product lines. The position is responsible for end to end accountability for channel performance, requiring a combination of strategic planning and hands on execution to drive sustainable revenue growth and operational discipline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of e‑commerce experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior or strategic e‑commerce role.
  • Demonstrated success scaling an Amazon‑based business from launch to multi‑million‑dollar annual revenue.
  • Experience managing marketplace P&L, advertising ecosystems, and operational execution.
  • Deep knowledge of Amazon marketplace mechanics, algorithms, fulfillment models, and advertising platforms.
  • Strong strategic planning skills combined with the ability to execute hands‑on in an early‑stage business environment.
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience using marketplace analytics and data visualization tools.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret financial and operational performance.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities in a growth‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the multi‑year e‑commerce strategy, including platform selection, market positioning, and expansion opportunities.
  • Own the overall financial performance of the e‑commerce channel, including revenue targets, margin management, advertising spend, and profitability.
  • Oversee marketplace infrastructure, including Amazon Seller Central and other platforms, ensuring account health, compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Define fulfillment and logistics strategy (FBA, FBM, 3PL) in collaboration with Supply Chain and Manufacturing to align inventory and production with digital demand.
  • Lead e‑commerce brand execution, including product listings, A+ content, storefronts, video, and conversion optimization.
  • Develop and manage marketplace advertising strategies across Amazon and external traffic channels to maximize return on ad spend and market share.
  • Establish key performance indicators and deliver regular performance reporting to leadership, including financial results, growth trends, and competitive insights.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Operations, and other internal teams to ensure alignment and support for e‑commerce initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary internal subject matter expert for e‑commerce strategy, operations, and performance.
