About The Position

The E-Coat Hanger / Scape / Prep Skilled employee helps prepare truck bodies for the E-Coat process. The role ensures bodies have an even finish and meet the requirements for E-Coat processing. It involves setting up and operating precision scraping and sanding tools; sanding and scraping internal and external metal surfaces to a smooth, even finish that meets specified dimensions; using basic hand tools; handling heavy equipment; and manually moving equipment and parts from inventory according to job orders.

Requirements

• Knowledge of hand tools is a plus but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare truck bodies for the E-Coat process.
• Operate and set up one of several types of precision scraping and sanding tools.
• Sand and scrape internal and external surfaces of metal parts to a smooth and even finish that meets required dimensions.
• Use basic hand tools, including a drill, rivet gun, wrenches, and caulk gun.
• Load and unload very heavy equipment.
• Manually push and pull equipment and retrieve parts from inventory based on the job order.
