About The Position

Loyola Medicine is seeking a part-time Dynamic Scheduler to schedule patient appointments based on orders, urgency of care, and patient convenience, coordinating across multiple sites when appropriate. The role monitors physicians’ daily schedules to optimize physician scheduling, uses insurance-verification procedures to support maximum reimbursement and correct payment, works with clinical, registration, and scheduling software, and efficiently manages a high volume of telephone calls while meeting a 95% customer telephone-skills standard. The position is approximately 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, on the day shift.

Requirements

Associate degree or equivalent training acquired through work experience or education.
Minimum of 3 years of previous job-related experience.
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training acquired through work experience or education.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Service Rep is highly preferred.
Minimum of 3 years’ training in a general administrative, business, healthcare, or related field.

Responsibilities

Schedule patient appointments in conjunction with orders, urgency of care, and patient convenience, involving multiple sites when appropriate.
Monitor physicians’ schedules daily to optimize physician schedules.
Use insurance verification procedures to ensure maximum reimbursement and correct payment.
Use clinical, registration, and scheduling software proficiently and learn new systems as required.
Efficiently and effectively manage a high volume of telephone calls to the service area.
Answer calls using telephone customer service skills and maintain a 95% customer telephone-skills rating.
