About The Position

SRM Concrete is hiring a safety-focused Dump Truck Operator to transport materials such as rock, sand, and gravel within the quarry and to designated customer and job-site locations. The role involves safely operating and maintaining a dump truck, completing vehicle inspections, coordinating deliveries, and complying with DOT regulations and company safety standards. Operators are expected to provide professional customer service and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. The position offers consistent local routes, home every night, and no Sunday work.

Requirements

• Valid Class B CDL and a proven safe-driving record.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
• Excellent vision, hand-eye coordination, and physical fitness to perform driving and maintenance tasks.
• Effective communication skills for working with dispatchers, coworkers, and customers.
• Reliable, organized, and able to manage time to meet delivery schedules.
• Positive, go-getter mindset and willingness to learn and grow.
• Willingness to undergo SRM's pre-employment screenings.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a dump truck to transport materials within the quarry and to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
• Plan routes, follow delivery schedules, and communicate proactively with dispatch and team members.
• Maneuver trucks for loading and unloading, verify delivery instructions, and ensure delivery accuracy.
• Comply with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
• Promptly report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations.
• Keep the truck clean and well-maintained, performing minor repairs as needed.
• Represent SRM professionally and provide exceptional service on every job.
