About The Position

SRM Concrete is hiring a Dump Truck Operator to safely transport rock, sand, gravel, and other materials within the quarry and to designated customer and job-site locations. The role involves vehicle inspections, route and schedule coordination, loading and unloading, compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards, and maintaining the truck. Operators represent SRM professionally and provide dependable service. The position offers local routes, home every night, and no Sunday work. It involves outdoor work in varying weather and physical tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Class B CDL and a proven record of safe driving.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
• Excellent vision, hand-eye coordination, and physical fitness to perform driving and maintenance tasks.
• Effective communication skills for working with dispatchers, coworkers, and customers.
• Reliable and organized, with the ability to manage time and meet delivery schedules.
• Positive, “go-getter” mindset and willingness to learn and grow.
• Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a dump truck to transport materials within the quarry and to designated locations.
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections to check vehicle safety and performance.
• Plan routes, follow delivery schedules, and communicate proactively with dispatch and team members.
• Maneuver trucks for loading and unloading, verify delivery instructions, and ensure accuracy.
• Comply with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
• Promptly report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations.
• Keep the truck clean and well-maintained and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Represent SRM professionally and provide exceptional service.
