About The Position

SRM Concrete is hiring a safety-focused Dump Truck Operator to transport materials such as rock, sand, and gravel within the quarry and to designated customer and job-site locations. The role involves safe and efficient vehicle operation, inspecting and maintaining the truck, coordinating deliveries, and complying with DOT regulations and company safety standards. Operators represent SRM professionally and provide dependable service. The position offers consistent local routes, with drivers home every night, and no Sunday work.

Requirements

• Valid Class B or Class A CDL and a proven safe-driving record.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
• Excellent vision, hand-eye coordination, and physical fitness to perform driving and maintenance tasks.
• Effective communication skills for working with dispatchers, coworkers, and customers.
• Reliability, organization, and time-management ability to meet delivery schedules.
• Positive, go-getter mindset and willingness to learn and grow.
• Willingness to undergo SRM pre-employment screenings.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.

• Experience operating dump trucks or heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a dump truck to transport materials within the quarry and to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to check vehicle safety and performance.
• Plan routes, follow delivery schedules, and communicate proactively with dispatch and team members.
• Maneuver trucks for loading and unloading, verify delivery instructions, and ensure delivery accuracy.
• Comply with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
• Promptly report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations.
• Keep the truck clean and well-maintained and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Represent SRM professionally and provide exceptional service.
