About The Position

SRM Concrete is hiring a safety-focused Dump Truck Operator to transport rock, sand, gravel, and other materials within the quarry and to designated customer and job-site locations. The role involves safe and efficient operation of a dump truck, vehicle inspections and upkeep, route and schedule coordination, and professional communication with dispatch, coworkers, and customers. Operators work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed. The position offers local routes, home every night, and no Sunday work.

Requirements

Valid Class B CDL.
Proven record of safe driving.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
Excellent vision, hand-eye coordination, and physical fitness to perform driving and maintenance tasks.
Effective communication skills for working with dispatchers, coworkers, and customers.
Reliability, organization, and ability to manage time to meet delivery schedules.
Positive, go-getter mindset and willingness to learn and grow.
Willingness to undergo SRM pre-employment screenings.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a dump truck to transport materials within the quarry and to designated locations.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
Plan routes, follow delivery schedules, and communicate proactively with dispatch and team members.
Maneuver trucks for loading and unloading, verify delivery instructions, and ensure delivery accuracy.
Comply with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
Promptly report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations.
Keep the truck clean and well-maintained, performing minor repairs as needed.
Represent SRM professionally and provide exceptional service on every job.
