About The Position
Teach a Humanities dual credit course at Zion Benton East High School. The position is for someone currently teaching or who will teach Humanities at Zion Benton East High School. Candidates must possess and maintain eligibility to work with secondary and post-secondary students, both in person at assigned work locations and virtually, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Illinois School Code and Faith’s Law. Employment depends on successfully completing a post-offer fingerprint-based criminal history records check, employment history review, and any other legally or locally required screening or clearances. Continued employment requires maintaining eligibility and clearances. Salaries for Dual Credit Adjuncts are paid through their high school district. The College of Lake County may provide stipends for specific professional development activities. The position is part-time, with a stated workload of five hours per week.
Requirements
- Currently teach or be expected to teach Humanities at Zion Benton East High School.
- Hold a master's degree in any field, with 18 graduate semester hours or equivalent in the discipline or subfield.
- Possess and maintain eligibility to work with secondary and post-secondary students, in person and virtually, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Successfully complete required post-offer fingerprint-based criminal history records checks, employment history review, and any other applicable screening or clearance requirements.
- Maintain eligibility and required clearances throughout employment.
