About The Position

Colorado Mountain College (CMC) is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for Non-Credit Humanities. This role is ideal for individuals with an applicable combination of education and/or experience in teaching continuing or community education. Bilingual (English/Spanish) abilities are preferred. This position requires employees to perform their duties within the State of Colorado and be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Requirements

  • An equivalent/applicable combination of education and/or experience to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Teaching experience in continuing education or community education.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with students, employees, and community members of all backgrounds.
  • Must perform assigned duties within the State of Colorado.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Teach course load as assigned by the designated supervisor.
  • Prepare appropriate lesson plans for each course in accordance with approved course outcomes.
  • Develop a professional relationship with students and staff that encourages teacher/student communication.
  • Assist in the recruitment of students, as appropriate.
  • Assist in the evaluation of curriculum and instructional performance, when agreed upon and appropriate.
  • Represent the college in a professional manner throughout the communities and college district by promoting a positive public image.
  • Complete all required annual CMC training courses (e.g., Title IX, Digital Accessibility, and Data Security and Privacy).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
