About The Position

Teach an English dual credit course at Lake Zurich High School. The instructor must currently be teaching, or will be teaching, English at Lake Zurich High School. The role requires eligibility to work with secondary and post-secondary students, both in person at assigned work locations and virtually, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Employment is contingent on successful completion of a post-offer fingerprint-based criminal history records check, employment history review, and any other required screenings or clearances. Continued employment depends on maintaining eligibility and clearances. The position is part-time and is listed as requiring five hours per week. Salaries are paid through the high school district; the College of Lake County may provide stipends for specific professional development activities.

Requirements

• Currently teach, or will teach, English at Lake Zurich High School.
• Master's degree in any field and 18 graduate semester hours or equivalent in English, Reading, Literacy, Composition, Literature, Creative Writing, or Linguistics; alternatively, a degree in Secondary Education with 18 graduate semester hours in one of those areas.
• Maintain eligibility to work with secondary and post-secondary students in person and virtually in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Successfully complete required post-offer criminal history records check, employment history review, and any other mandated screenings or clearances; maintain eligibility and clearances throughout employment.
