About The Position

Delivers vehicles to customers, dealerships and other locations, as directed by DT Driver Coordinator. This is an entry-level position that requires a good driving record and a high school diploma or equivalent experience. The role involves safe and efficient vehicle delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction, and adhering to company work and driving hour restrictions. The driver is responsible for submitting hours worked, expense reports, and maintaining a professional appearance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with co-workers, customers, DT Driver Coordinator and personnel from other Modern Dealerships.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to analyze, gather and summarize work hour information into a concise format for payroll processing at your dealership
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver vehicles to customers, dealerships and other locations in a safe and efficient manner
  • Insures customer satisfaction by communicating to DT Driver Coordinator and customers as appropriate to update information concerning delivery schedule
  • Complies with the Modern Automotive Network’s 29 hour work week work restriction
  • Complies with Modern Automotive Network’s 24 hour driving restriction that limits all DT Drivers to driving 10 hours or less within any 24 hour period
  • Submits hours worked to DT Driver Coordinator on a weekly basis, as appropriate
  • Submits expense receipts/reports accurately and timely
  • Maintains professional appearance
