About The Position

We are New Jersey’s #1 Support Coordination Agency. NLC Support is a Support Coordinating Agency for adults and children with developmental disabilities. Our mission statement is to be here for them, from start to finish. We are NJ’s #1 Support Agency. Period. Choosing a support coordination agency is a new experience for a majority of people. Support Coordinators here at NLC make it possible for families to match the person’s wants and needs with skills and expertise. Since people are not aware of what is available in their community, we help find providers and services that are in their area.

Requirements

At least 1 year Experience Working with Individuals with Developmental Disabilities. (Special Needs Adults) (Can be with family member or family friend who is an adult with a developmental disability)
Current and Valid Driver's License
Must be able to provide 2 professional references (No Friends and Family) (Will consider references from in-home care).
Must Pass Background Check
Must Pass Central Registry Check
Must Pass Cari Check
Must Pass Drug Test
CPR & Frist Aid Certification will be required.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals with developmental disabilities with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
Provide transportation to medical appointments and other activities.
Maintain accurate records of services provided.
Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals.
Assist with the development of independent living skills.
Monitor individuals' health and safety.
Provide crisis intervention when needed.
Other duties as assigned.
