About The Position
InReach is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Independent Contractor to provide Community Living and Support Services for a young male individual with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in Indian Trail, NC. This role involves approximately 15 hours per week, with potential for additional hours during non-school weeks. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5pm to 8pm. The pay rate is $20.35/hr.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred.
Responsibilities
- Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
- Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
- Facilitate community integration.
- Help individual develop healthy social habits.
- Dispense medication and monitor dosages.
- Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
