About The Position
InReach is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) as an Independent Contractor to provide Community Living and Support Services for a young male individual with developmental disabilities in Indian Trail, NC. This role involves approximately 15 hours per week, with potential for additional hours during non-school weeks. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.35 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction and assistance in home living environments.
- Help the individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
- Facilitate community integration.
- Help the individual develop healthy social habits.
- Dispense medication and monitor dosages.
- Transport and accompany the individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
