About The Position

The Supported Living Program is for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities capable of living semi-independently. One to three people reside in townhouses or apartments. Each resident receives the degree of responsibility and supervision required to meet his or her individual needs. As a DSP you will use your caregiving and people skills to support individuals living with developmental disabilities to achieve their goals. You can get paid to take someone to the park while making a difference in their life!

Requirements

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges, or transferrable skills that relate to serving this population (such as experience in education, caregiving, health care, other human services or customer service).
• Ability to pass criminal background check.
• Ability to pass required trainings.
• A Valid driver’s license, minimum three-year acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
• A High school diploma or GED.
• Flexibility, positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals living with developmental disabilities to achieve their goals.
• Take someone to the park.
• Work in residential group homes, day programs, and in the community.
• Transport individuals using agency provided van.
