About The Position

The Manifestor keeps track of incoming and outgoing products and assists with related record-keeping and inventory functions. The role is responsible for capturing and documenting pallet information, completing required paperwork, and ensuring pallets are correctly labeled and sent to their destinations. The Manifestor also contributes to team development and collaboration, follows Simmons operating-system principles, and performs other duties in support of business objectives.

The position is performed in a plant environment. The employee works on their feet for the entire shift in cold, hot, and noisy conditions and must be able to move about the facility efficiently. Physical activities include walking, bending, twisting, climbing, stretching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Required personal protective equipment includes standard waterproof gloves, hearing protection, a chemical-resistant apron and gloves, a face shield, and reinforced-toe footwear.

Requirements

• Ability to work efficiently in a plant environment.
• Ability to stand, reach, and move about the facility, and to work on one's feet for an entire shift.

• Ability to communicate effectively with others and the leadership team and make sound decisions.
• Ability to use the required personal protective equipment.

• Preferred experience in shipping and receiving.
• Preferred experience working with large moving equipment.
• Preference for experience in a poultry or food-processing organization.

Responsibilities

• Scan pallets to accurately capture case counts, weights, and dates.
• Document numbers and codes for each pallet and create pallet labels.
• Complete paperwork within established time frames and record-keeping requirements.
• Verify that pallets and labels are correct and that pallets are sent to the proper destination.
• Participate in team development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies; coordinate work to support B.E.S.T. practices.
• Attend appropriate team meetings and support team cohesiveness by raising and helping resolve issues.
• Maintain familiarity with Simmons operating systems, including quality, security, office environment, and company policies; communicate concerns and improvement ideas.
• Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
