About The Position

The Manifestor Trainee enters data and produces tickets for production transactions using computer programs and equipment across production, cold storage warehouse, and dry supplies. The position helps ensure accurate product reporting and ticketing through product identification and counting, accurate data entry, and use of the manifest accounting system. The role works with lab personnel and communicates frequently with Team Leaders, leads, lift operators, tote room attendants, and other employees. It may also involve normal packaging duties, including rework and cleanup, and working in cold temperatures for short periods.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
• Ability to write accurate information on simple forms in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English in one-on-one and small-group situations.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Ability to use Excel.
• Ability to work in conditions that may include extreme cold, dust, constant vibrating noise from the freezer, and confined areas.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience is not required; recordkeeping experience is preferred.
• Computer-use experience is preferred.
• Laboratory experience that supports understanding of quality and the impacts of proper and improper blending is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe work practices and participate in safety programs.
• Identify and accurately count product, then enter data into a computer program to generate accurate plant reports and tickets.
• Use a computer terminal to enter data and produce tickets for inbound and outbound bulk, inbound dry-storage materials, and waste product.
• Coordinate with lab personnel on the proper disposition of held product.
• Communicate with Team Leaders, leads, lift operators, tote room attendants, and other employees.
• Follow detailed instructions and set priorities with minimal supervision.
• Collect required paperwork at the end of the shift and submit it to the warehouse for filing.
• Learn or apply knowledge of lot numbers, catalog numbers, cut styles, blending requirements, and their impacts.
• Ensure proper ticketing and coding of product using the manifest accounting system.
• Perform other tasks as directed by the Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Lead, or Team Leaders.
• Provide breaks to fellow workers as directed by the Team Leader.
• Assist with normal packaging duties as needed, including rework and cleanup.
• Meet the functions of a package laborer.
• Train other potential Manifestors.
• Prepare and generate bay transfer, rework, blending, waste, bulk, and end-of-shift reports.
