About The Position

Champion Home Builders, Inc. is hiring an experienced Drywall Finisher specializing in electrical for residential construction and renovation projects throughout Marion County, Florida. The role requires producing smooth, professional-quality finishes while maintaining productivity, safety, and established production goals. The successful candidate will be proficient in Level 4 or higher finishing and operation of semi-automatic drywall finishing tools, and will work independently and cooperatively with a construction team in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must pass a 7 Panel Drug Screen.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of residential drywall finishing experience.
Proficiency in achieving a Level 4 or higher drywall finish.
Ability to operate semi-automatic drywall finishing tools, including mud boxes and corner flushers.
Proficiency in taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing.
Ability to identify and correct surface imperfections.
Ability to perform efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting materials, standing for extended periods, and working on ladders when necessary.
Must be able to pass a 7 Panel Drug Screen.

Responsibilities

Apply drywall tape, joint compound, and corner bead.
Finish drywall seams, joints, and corners to a smooth, professional standard.
Perform drywall patching, sanding, and surface preparation.
Apply textures and achieve consistent finishes as required by the project.
Operate semi-automatic drywall finishing tools to improve efficiency and consistency.
Inspect completed work and correct imperfections before painting.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Work efficiently to meet production schedules and project deadlines without compromising quality or safety.
Follow job-site safety procedures and properly handle tools, equipment, and materials.
Work cooperatively with other crew members and construction trades.
Consistently achieve production and quality standards while minimizing material waste and rework.
