About The Position

The Drywall and Framing Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, including preconstruction planning, buyout, execution, and close-out. This role involves managing the schedule and budget, coordinating with clients and design teams, resolving conflicts with other trades, and ensuring superintendents have the necessary manpower and materials. The job also includes occasional site visits, proactive risk management, staying current on project documentation, enforcing safety and quality standards, and mentoring assistant project managers.

Requirements

  • At least four years of experience managing commercial construction projects.
  • Hands-on experience with drywall and metal framing scope.
  • Proficiency in Procore, On-Screen Takeoff, and QuickBid, or comparable project management, takeoff, or estimating systems.
  • Technical proficiency.
  • Decisive decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate plainly with clients, design teams, and field personnel.
  • Ability to lead crews and maintain standards without alienating staff.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective when project conditions change.
  • Ability to anticipate client needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ceilings, finishes, or Division 8 and 10 specialties.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from start to finish: preconstruction planning, buyout, execution, close-out.
  • Manage project schedule and budget.
  • Coordinate with clients and design teams.
  • Resolve conflicts with other trades to prevent delays.
  • Ensure superintendents have adequate manpower and materials for production.
  • Conduct occasional jobsite visits to monitor progress and address issues.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks such as manpower gaps, long lead times, compressed schedules, and unclear scope.
  • Stay current on submittals, RFIs, change orders, daily reports, and close-out packages.
  • Enforce safety and quality standards on all jobs.
  • Mentor and guide assistant project managers.
