About The Position

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service and maintain a safe, clean environment that encourages customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals and monitor established quality assurance standards. Support the Customer 1st strategy and encourage excellent customer service while demonstrating the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Requirements

Retail experience.
Ability to handle stressful situations.
Effective communication skills.
Knowledge of basic math.

Responsibilities

Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products sold in the department and throughout the store.
Learn and maintain knowledge of department products, answer questions, and make product suggestions.
Offer product samples to help customers discover items or products they ask about.
Inform customers about Drug GM specials.
Recommend Drug GM items to help customers find the products they want and need.
Review sell-by dates and take appropriate action.
Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
Report product ordering or shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
Maintain a positive attitude.
Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
Follow safety procedures, reinforce safety programs, identify unsafe conditions, and notify store management.
Inspect equipment as part of preventive maintenance and notify the appropriate department or store manager of items needing repair.
Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
Report safety risks, issues, and illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner.
Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
