About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer for a corporate industrial building in Germantown, Maryland. The officer will monitor surveillance systems, identify and respond to threats, document incidents, conduct patrols, control access, and help protect people and property. The role requires a valid driver’s license and clean driving record for vehicle patrols, a Maryland Guard Card, and completion of 80 hours of on-the-job training. The schedule totals 40 hours per week: Monday 3 p.m.–11 p.m., Wednesday 7 a.m.–11 p.m., and Thursday and Friday 9 a.m.–5 p.m. The position pays $22.75 per hour. A uniform is provided at no cost, and DailyPay is available to GardaWorld employees.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for vehicle patrols.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have good eyesight and the ability to maintain focus.
• Have strong technology proficiency, computer literacy, and phone skills.
• Have at least two years of security, military, or law enforcement experience.
• Have a Maryland Guard Card.
• Be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Have CPR/First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to help ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement in serious situations or emergencies.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
