About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is Now Hiring a Surveillance Security Officer! Ready to suit up as a Surveillance Security Guard? What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Tell us about your strong observation skills with attention to detail. As a Security Officer – Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc. This role requires flexibility to work across two sites: a Theater Exhibit & Broadcast News Office Building in Washington, D.C. Scheduling is based on site needs, and new hires must be flexible to take shifts at short notice. The ideal candidate will have open availability to work mornings, evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Requirements

Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to pass a motor vehicle background check.
Ability to walk and stand for 8+ hours while conducting patrols.
You have a high school education or equivalent (GED)
You’re able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
You have Security, Military, and/or Law Enforcement experience of at least 2 years or more
You have an active DC security license
You are at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
Must have experience utilizing Microsoft applications or Google applications, and Security Systems.
Must have experience with Incident/ DAR reports

Conduct active CCTV camera monitoring and remain fully prepared to execute precise, immediate protocols upon receiving any system alarms or security alerts.
Execute strategic crowd control and monitoring measures during high-profile corporate events to ensure participant safety and orderly foot traffic.
Maintain unwavering situational awareness and physical oversight of all facility entrances, exits, and perimeters while upholding strict uniform etiquette and a professional demeanor at all times.
