About The Position
Silver Creek by Bonaventure is seeking a Driver to meet residents’ transportation needs and help them travel to scheduled destinations safely and on time. The role serves a retirement, assisted living, and memory care community in Puyallup, Washington. The Driver provides courteous, welcoming assistance to residents, including those using walkers, scooters, and wheelchairs, and drives in a range of weather and traffic conditions. No CDL is required. The position pays $19.00 to $20.00 per hour, starting. Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Five years of clean driving experience.
- Genuine concern for and ability to work with elderly people.
- Ability to relate to residents in a courteous, understanding, and cooperative manner.
- Ability to pass CPR and First Aid courses.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No CDL is required.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents in and out of the bus at all times.
- Interact with residents in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Follow the transportation time schedule.
- Perform daily visual inspections of vehicles and operating equipment.
- Maintain accurate equipment maintenance records.
- Keep the van maintained and clean.
- Notify the maintenance supervisor of needed repairs.
- Maintain open communication with the Activity Coordinator.
- Help residents using walkers, scooters, and wheelchairs follow appropriate safety protocols.
- Drive safely in a variety of weather and traffic conditions.
