About The Position

The Driver performs pre-delivery inspections and prepares equipment for customer delivery. The position operates vehicles to transport equipment for the dealership and may involve instructing customers on basic equipment operating procedures. The role may require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager, Service Location Manager, Shop Foreman, or senior technicians.

Requirements

Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment used in routine machinery maintenance.
Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in off-road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment.
Experience with basic computer functions.
Experience working cooperatively in a team environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Experience using Service ADVISOR™ or other computer-based diagnostic repair tools.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment needed to perform job responsibilities.
Maintain a clean work area and perform work neatly and orderly.
Participate in required Service EDUCATE Training programs to develop skills and knowledge, as applicable.
Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments.
Transport equipment to and from customers and between dealer facilities.
Maintain pickup and delivery records and obtain necessary signatures and receipts.
Account for all time and distance traveled while performing assigned duties.
Maintain assigned trucks and related equipment in good condition, as needed.
Perform pre-delivery inspections and prepare equipment for delivery.
Instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures, as needed.
