About The Position

The Driver at The Carnegie provides transportation for community programs, events, and resident appointments as needed. The role delivers exemplary customer service that encourages independence and fosters a secure, friendly environment. The schedule is 8 a.m.–6 p.m., four days per week, including one weekend day. Pay is $21.50–$22.00 per hour.

The Driver transports residents to community events and shopping excursions, helps schedule transportation, promotes attendance and participation in Wellness Programs, monitors vehicle maintenance and safety, and may assist with setting up and tearing down Wellness and community events.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One to two years of experience as a driver; experience with seniors is preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of a good driving record.
• Commercial Driver’s License, or ability to obtain one within a reasonable time of employment, as required.
• First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including a drug screen, job-specific physical, TB test, and background check.
