About The Position

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a Batching Operator, also described in the posting as a Syrup Blender, to manufacture syrup used in the bottling process from concentrate. The position blends syrup, prepares recipes to specifications, and supports concentrate and high fructose corn syrup receiving and inventory management. The operator also conducts related lab duties and performs housekeeping while following company rules and procedures. The role requires the ability to work the hours needed to complete assigned tasks; the title indicates a 6 a.m.–6 p.m. shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Analytical thought process.
• Good hand/eye coordination.
• Ability to follow established procedures without deviation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to successfully complete forklift certification.
• Ability to work the hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.

Nice To Haves

• One year of production or technical experience preferred.
• Good Manufacturing Practices background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Blend syrup.
• Calculate the number of concentrate flavor units required by converting production case figures to equivalent finished gallons of syrup.
• Build recipes to specifications.
• Receive concentrate and high fructose corn syrup.
• Maintain concentrate and high fructose corn syrup inventory.
• Conduct associated lab duties.
• Follow all company rules and regulations.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
