About The Position

The Driver at The Carnegie provides transportation for community programs, events, and resident appointments. The role delivers exemplary customer service that encourages independence and fosters a secure, friendly environment. The schedule is 8 a.m.–6 p.m., four days per week, including one weekend day. Pay is $21.50–$22.00 per hour. The position also supports transportation scheduling, encourages resident participation in Wellness Programs, monitors vehicle maintenance and safety, and assists with setup and teardown for Wellness and community events as needed.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
One to two years of experience as a driver, preferably with seniors.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Valid driver’s license and proof of a good driving record.
Commercial Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within a reasonable time of employment, as required.
First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Drive vehicles to community events, shopping excursions, and other destinations.
Assist with scheduling transportation as required.
Promote resident attendance and participation in Wellness Programs.
Monitor general maintenance and overall safety of vehicles.
Assist with setting up and tearing down Wellness and community events as needed.
