About The Position

The Driver delivers vehicles and, in some instances, customers, employees, or vendors safely and promptly to appropriate destinations while providing helpful, courteous, and professional customer service. This is a non-CDL local driving position involving multiple new-model cars. The role transports fleet cars and vans to and from rental locations and may require navigating written directions. The position is located at 928.5 Westbank Expressway, Gretna, LA 70053-56272 and pays $12.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Sunday and Saturday off.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a valid driver's license with no more than two moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on the driving record in the past three years.
Must have no drug- or alcohol-related conviction on the driving record in the past five years.
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Transport fleet cars and vans to and from rental locations, navigating written directions.
Drive and deliver vehicles locally or out of area as needed, following all rules of the road.
Deliver customers and vehicles safely and courteously to appropriate destinations.
Ride with or follow another driver to drop off vehicles or pick up multiple vehicles.
Organize travel routes and ensure vehicle paperwork is accurate and timely.
Communicate via two-way radio or cellular phone as needed.
Clean vehicles and/or keep the bus clean during the shift as requested.
Assist customers with directions, car options, and basic policies and procedures as requested.
Help customers load and unload luggage, enter and exit vehicles, and meet miscellaneous needs as requested.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
