About The Position

MTM/AAA is hiring Drivers in Phoenix, Arizona, to provide personalized, safe, and reliable non-emergency medical transportation. Drivers deliver customer service to internal and external stakeholders, support passengers with loading and unloading and mobility-device securement, and help ensure on-time pickups and drop-offs. The position requires schedule flexibility because the service operates seven days a week and many shifts include weekends. Training classes start every week. The hourly rate is $16.00.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be at least 25 years of age.
Valid Arizona driver's license.
Minimum of five years of driving history.
No pending charges.
No felony convictions in the past seven years.
No DUI or DWI convictions.
Must pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle record investigation.
Must pass a DOT physical if over age 65, including a pre-employment drug screening.
Valid authorization to work in the United States.
Ability to use a tablet, GPS, two-way radio, or other electronic device.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Ability to communicate with others and comprehend instructions.
Ability to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, manifests, and schedules.
Ability to obtain knowledge of FTA, ADA, and DOT regulations.
Familiarity with the main roadways and major highways in the service area.

Responsibilities

Provide safe and reliable transportation.
Demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills.
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Assist passengers with loading and unloading from the vehicle.
Assist with mobility devices and securement as required by safety protocols.
Ensure on-time customer pickups and drop-offs.
Demonstrate understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities.
Complete required vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections.
Complete required paperwork.
Use tablets or other electronic devices as required.
