About The Position

The Driver at The Fitzgerald is responsible for daily interaction with residents and providing transportation to community programs, events, shopping excursions, and resident appointments as required. The role provides exemplary customer service that encourages resident independence and fosters a secure and friendly environment. The Driver also assists with transportation scheduling, promotes participation in Wellness Programs, monitors vehicle maintenance and safety, and helps set up and tear down Wellness and community events as needed.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One to two years of experience as a driver.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of a good driving record.
• First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Successfully pass the pre-employment drug screen, job-specific physical, TB test, and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Driver experience with seniors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles to community events, shopping excursions, and other destinations.
• Assist with scheduling transportation as required.
• Promote resident attendance and participation in all Wellness Programs.
• Monitor the general maintenance and overall safety of vehicles.
• Assist with setting up and tearing down Wellness and community events as needed.
• Interact with residents and provide exemplary customer service that encourages independence and fosters a secure and friendly environment.
