About the Role: We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Transportation & Direct Support Specialist to provide transportation and direct care services to young adults. This role combines safe vehicle operation with hands-on support, helping individuals access services, develop life skills, and engage in their community.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and appropriate boundaries
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience using basic computer programs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in human services or direct care preferred

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport clients to medical appointments, program services, and community activities
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and report maintenance issues
  • Follow all traffic laws and agency safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate documentation (mileage logs, reports, incident records)
  • Respond to emergencies and provide First Aid/CPR as needed
  • Support clients with daily living skills (shopping, budgeting, routines, appointments)
  • Promote independence using person-centered and trauma-informed care approaches
  • Communicate effectively with clinic staff and report client needs or concerns
  • Assist with clinic operations during downtime (errands, setup, group support)
