About The Position

Drive truck and trailer with a capacity of up to 11,400 gallons of petroleum products to various places in Oregon and Washington. Support the Key Customer Requirements of Tyree Oil: Safety, Quality, Dependability, Hospitality, Integrity, accuracy, Cleanliness, Value.

Requirements

  • Minimum Experience: Typically requires two years or more of driving a Class A vehicle.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Class A driver license with a hazmat, tanker and doubles and triples endorsement.
  • DOT Medical card
  • Post-offer background check required
  • Post-offer drug test required
  • DOT Covered
  • Driver must maintain three points of contact when entering and exiting vehicles or machinery which requires reaching and pulling above shoulder height.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms, consistently lifting above the shoulder; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift hoses, etc with product and/or move up to 100 plus pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
  • Climbing & Balancing: frequently climbing steep, narrow ladders and stairs, especially on truck trailers and working at heights above 6 feet.
  • Excellent stamina is required.
  • The employee regularly works on or near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, rain and snow, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
  • The employee may occasionally work in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • The noise level in the work environment is generally loud.
  • Machinery/Forklift operation may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats.
  • Regularly scheduled for 40+ hours per week
  • 5 days per week / 10+ hours per day; Days off vary based on assigned schedule.
  • Day shift (4am to 4pm) or Night Shift (4pm to 4am)
  • Occasional/Regular overtime is required.
  • Weekends/Evenings are occasionally required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the correct product and quantity is being loaded in the correct compartment of the trailer at the tank farm.
  • Process all tank farm paperwork in accordance with Company procedures and standards.
  • Utilize the shortest and safest routes to the delivery destinations.
  • Check customer tanks to verify what products are held.
  • Stick each tank and record beginning inches before delivery.
  • Complete customer invoice with correct amount of fuel delivered, price, and amount due for that delivery.
  • Maintain the appearance of the truck & trailer inside and out.
  • Maintain truck inventory items including spill pads, metal bucket, flags and correct nozzles.
  • Other duties as assigned.
