About The Position

This role involves driving tractor trailers for local deliveries of medical diagnostic equipment, specifically mobile medical imaging units (MRI, PET & CT). The drivers will move trailers at night to various hospital and clinic locations where appointments are scheduled. The job requires the driver to pick up their truck from a designated parking location, drive to client sites, and then set up or tear down the trailer, which takes approximately 30-45 minutes. Drivers will typically transport 1-2 trailers per night and will receive 4-6 weeks of paid training to learn routes and trailer setup/teardown procedures. The company emphasizes safety, compliance with regulations, and provides a supportive work environment focused on patient care and professional growth.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver’s license in the state of residence and DOT Medical certification.
  • Clean DOT driving record.
  • Commercial driving experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Able to set up medical diagnostic equipment at delivery sites (training will be provided).
  • Comfortable with Transporting and setting up medical equipment.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test.
  • Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy tractor trailers.
  • Ability to drive safely and not cause damages to equipment or client property.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. at a time (e.g., patient lift weight ~ 30-60 lbs, stair weight ~ 30-50 lbs, electrical cord weight ~ 30 lbs).
  • Ability to drive tractors with automatic transmission with 1-2 years’ experience.

  • 2 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive tractor trailers configured for mobile medical imaging (MRI, PET & CT mobile units).
  • Move trailers at night to locations where appointments are scheduled.
  • Pick up truck from designated parking location daily.
  • Drive to hospitals & medical clinics.
  • Drop off or pick up trailers at client locations.
  • Set up and tear down trailers, which involves getting out of the truck and unloading or packing up the trailer (30-45 minutes).
  • Transport 1-2 trailers per night.
  • Operate and safely drive assigned vehicle.
  • Ensure trailers are securely connected to the tractor.
  • Set up medical equipment at destination.
  • Comply with ICC and DOT regulations.
  • Make safety a priority.
  • Monitor, report, and/or repair any mechanical or safety items that would prevent the safe transport of company equipment.
  • Perform Q.A. checks on equipment after arrival at site.
