About The Position

Imperial Dade is seeking a Trailer Driver/Class A Delivery Driver in Kansas City, MO. This role is part of a strong and continuously evolving transportation group, contributing to the growth of the business. The Trailer Driver/Class A Delivery Driver will be responsible for a route of daily stops, requiring unloading of product via hand, pallet jack, and dolly, and delivering merchandise to the customer-designated location. The essential aspects of this position are delivering and providing exceptional customer service. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, or until the daily route is completed. Other than one regional route per week (gone 2 days, 1 night), this is a local/home daily position.

Requirements

• A valid commercial driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a DOT Medical Exam
• A good driving record
• 1 year of recent CDL A experience
• 1 year of route delivery experience
• 1 year of manual pallet jack and hand truck experience
• Ability to handle a physical workload (lift 50+ pounds comfortably and unassisted)
• Lift gate experience
• Strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 53’ truck or smaller
• Load and unload cargo via hand, manual pallet jack, and lift gate
• Properly track and document activity log
• Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
• Inspect the truck before and after trips
• Communicate with customers with a positive, outgoing attitude
