About The Position

Universal Logistics is seeking a Driver Recruiter to join their team at their headquarters in Warren, MI. This role is crucial for hiring CDL drivers and other essential positions within the company's network. The ideal candidate will be competitive, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-call volume environment. The role involves a full-time schedule of 45 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with shifts from 8 am to 6 pm or 9 am to 7 pm.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills and comfort on the phone
• Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
• Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Basic tech skills (Microsoft Office, systems navigation)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, HR, Logistics, or similar)
• Experience with Workday, Indeed, Tenstreet

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruiting for CDL drivers, dock workers, and support roles
• Source candidates using job boards, databases, and outbound outreach
• Screen applicants and conduct phone interviews
• Make 30–50 outbound calls and handle 15–20 inbound calls daily
• Track candidates and activity in ATS/HR systems
• Keep pipelines full and hiring managers supported
