About The Position

Bakersfield Behavioral Healthcare Hospital (BBHH) is seeking a Patient Transportation Driver to ensure the continuity of care between BBHH and other facilities/locations for patient transport. This role is crucial for maintaining the quality and safety of patient transportation, directly impacting patient wellness and community care. The Driver will work under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services and closely with Case Managers to ensure patients reach their destinations safely and timely, continuing their course of care. This position is hourly, non-exempt, and overtime eligible.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Valid Driver's License in the State of California
Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
Personal motor vehicle insurance that meets the minimum California State Regulations
Current BLS CPR certification or ability to obtain prior to start date
Completion of 'Handle-With-Care' Physical Restraint Technique Training during orientation
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered if minimum requirements are met.
