Laundry Driver / Laundry Attendant
About The Position
The Driver – Laundry transports linens, laundry, and supplies between hotel properties, laundry facilities, or other designated locations safely, promptly, and professionally. The role supports laundry and housekeeping operations through efficient pickup, delivery, and careful handling of items, while maintaining vehicle cleanliness and following safety guidelines. When not transporting items, the employee works as a Laundry Attendant. Half of the shift is coded as Driver at $20 per hour and the other half as Laundry Attendant at $18 per hour. The role is in the Housekeeping department and has no supervisory responsibilities. It reports to the Executive Housekeeper. The hotel is Tempo by Hilton Downtown Nashville, a 306-room property with 12,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to follow routes, instructions, and safety procedures.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and load or unload items throughout the shift.
Nice To Haves
- Prior driving, delivery, or transportation experience preferred.
- Hospitality or laundry operations experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport linens, laundry, and supplies between hotel properties or laundry facilities.
- Load and unload laundry carts, bags, and supplies efficiently and carefully.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and report maintenance needs.
- Assist laundry and housekeeping teams with handling and organizing linen as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and mileage logs.
- Follow company, brand, and safety guidelines, including lifting procedures.
- Interact professionally and courteously with staff and vendors.
- Ensure items are handled securely and properly during transport.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Work as a Laundry Attendant when not transporting linens or supplies.
