About The Position

As a Laundry Attendant, you operate laundry equipment safely and take pride in providing clean sheets and fresh towels for hotel guests. The role involves washing, drying, inspecting, folding, and organizing linens; maintaining laundry supplies and records; and ensuring assigned areas meet cleanliness standards. Flexible shifts are available, including morning, evening, and night shifts, as well as weekends. Full-time and part-time schedules are offered.

Requirements

• Professional demeanor, clear communication skills, and a clean uniform.
• Ability to continuously move, regularly bend below the knees, lift, push, pull, carry, reach overhead, and move up to 55 pounds without assistance and more than 55 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and perform repetitive motions.
• Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and steps.
• Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines to identify defects.
• A gift for paying attention to the smallest details.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing and drying machinery.
• Select appropriate cleaning materials.
• Control load content and size to maximize efficiency and conserve water.
• Remove debris from the floor after each sorting.
• Inspect items removed from washers and dryers for cleanliness and place them in clean linen carts.
• Identify stained or damaged linen and determine whether it should be repaired, rewashed, discarded, or reviewed by a supervisor.
• Fold articles to designated sizes by hand or using a folding machine.
• Clean lint traps.
• Maintain accurate records of items laundered.
• Replenish laundry supplies as needed throughout the shift.
• Select necessary personal protective equipment for different surfaces and cleaning jobs.
• Ensure the cleanliness and condition of each assigned area meet standards.
• Comply with safety policies and report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, and injuries.
