About The Position

This is a Safety Sensitive position that requires open availability and a drug test. The Driver Helper is responsible for loading, securing, and unloading merchandise from loading docks and delivery trucks. This role involves planning routes, meeting delivery times, and quickly learning about merchandise and store-to-store transfer processes. The position also requires excellent customer relations and performing other duties as directed by management.

Requirements

Ability to repetitively lift heavy merchandise of 50 lbs
Flexibility for long haul assignments
Ability to communicate effectively with team members
Positive attitude when working with internal and external customers
Knowledge of employment, merchandise handling, and safety procedures
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion
Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 30 lbs constantly to move objects

Responsibilities

Loading merchandise
Securing the merchandise
Unloading merchandise from the loading docks and delivery truck at specified locations
Planning routes and meeting delivery times
Quickly gaining knowledge of merchandise and documents used in the store-to-store transfer process, as well as third party shipment of loads
Checking daily assignments and responsibilities
Using excellent customer relations with both internal and external customers
Performing any other duties as directed by management
