About The Position

Central Valley is seeking a Class B Delivery Driver for its Napa facility. The driver is responsible for timely delivery of goods to customers, reviewing orders before delivery, loading and unloading trucks, and providing exceptional customer service. The role includes handling building and agricultural products, securing loads, and following company safety procedures.

Requirements

Must be at least 25 years of age.
Class B driver's license required.
At least 1 year of experience tying down lumber and other building products; flatbed experience required.
At least 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
Driving record may not exceed 1 point.
Forklift experience required.
Experience driving a manual transmission truck required.

Nice To Haves

Experience driving in both rural and urban environments.

Responsibilities

Deliver merchandise to customers.
Count and check the condition of outgoing products loaded on the truck.
Contact customers to confirm delivery instructions.
Deliver orders undamaged to the correct jobsite and assist with unloading when necessary, following the proper loading and unloading sequence.
Ensure loads are properly secured and flagged when necessary.
Greet customers in a friendly manner upon delivery.
Assist with building loads, staging materials, and loading trucks as needed, including using a forklift.
Ensure the correct materials are delivered.
Take a photo of the delivery and/or obtain a customer signature when available.
Provide the customer with a receipt of delivery.
Follow all safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE and following company vehicle driving guidelines.
