Class B Driver
About The Position
Trulite is hiring a Class B CDL Driver to transport glass products to and from specified destinations. The role is based at 3965 E. Conley Rd, Conley, Georgia, and pays $22–$23 per hour depending on experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. A $5,000 sign-on bonus and quarterly safety bonus opportunities are offered. Benefits begin on the first day of employment. The driver loads and unloads glass freight, including operating a truck-mounted Moffett forklift, and ensures deliveries are completed safely and on time. The role requires maintaining required vehicle and delivery records, monitoring vehicle condition, and meeting applicable DOT, Hours of Service, and SAMSARA requirements. Overnight stays may be needed.
Requirements
- Valid CDL license.
- Clean driving record.
- Moffett operation experience is required.
- Must pass driver testing, a DOT physical and drug testing, and background screening.
- Ability to frequently sit, climb, balance, stoop, and kneel.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- Ability to stay overnight if needed.
Responsibilities
- Drive a truck with a capacity of more than three tons to transport glass products to and from specified destinations.
- Distribute invoices and delivery tickets for completed load drop-offs.
- Maintain truck logs according to state and federal regulations.
- Maintain telephone or radio contact with a supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
- Load glass freight and unload the delivery truck.
- Operate a Moffett truck-mounted forklift to safely load and unload glass.
- Inspect truck equipment and supplies, including tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
- Ensure DOT compliance, legal certifications, and Hours of Service tracking in accordance with SAMSARA regulations.
- Perform other assigned duties.
