About The Position

C&S Wholesale Grocers seeks to build a safe, efficient, service-focused fleet. Professional Drivers begin with a Professional Driver Trainer who provides coaching on company practices and regulatory requirements. After completing the new-hire training program, drivers deliver products and services while maintaining customer satisfaction and performing assigned duties in a safe, timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation regulations.

Drivers operate commercial motor vehicles, including semi-trucks, eighteen-wheelers, and box trucks, to transport and safely deliver products. They load and unload ambient or temperature-sensitive products, typically making 3–10 customer stops per day. Drivers inspect and document vehicle condition and ensure equipment meets regulatory and company requirements. Travel is required. Work environments may include freezer areas at -20°F to 0°F, perishable warehouses at 28°F to 60°F, and grocery warehouses at 50°F to 90°F. This is a first-shift position.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must hold a Class A Commercial Driver's License and be DOT certified, meeting all qualification requirements.
• Must have a valid Department of Transportation physical examination.
• Must have at least one year of recent tractor-trailer experience, or one year of recent applicable CMV experience, or participation in/completion of a company-approved CDL truck-driving school.
• Must comply with FMCSR, DOT, and company policies and procedures.
• Quality- and customer-service-focused; enjoys working with people.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport and safely deliver products, following training and commercial driving regulations.
• Load and unload ambient or temperature-sensitive products at customer locations, averaging 3–10 stops per day.
• Inspect and document vehicle and equipment condition, ensuring operability and compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Complete all work safely and in a timely manner while complying with DOT regulations and company policies.
