About The Position

The Driver Check-In Representative supports delivery associates when they return to the facility by reconciling invoices and customer payments. The role works closely with drivers to identify and resolve discrepancies and apply payments to invoices. It also provides phone support, verifies load sheets and driver entries, and may provide backup for department coworkers. The position involves working in a non-temperature-controlled environment, occasional refrigerated areas, and areas with moderate to loud noise and some dust and fumes from power equipment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school or vocational school diploma, or GED equivalent, required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic math computations.
• Able to learn and use the company's technology.
• Able to learn and maintain knowledge of the company and its products.
• Working knowledge of computerized hand-held devices.
• Regular, reliable attendance required.
• Able to stand and walk, reach with arms and hands, lift and carry, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel.
• Able to perform greater-than-average lifting of 50–65 pounds, including some overhead lifting.
• Must have close vision, distance vision, and the ability to judge distance.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls from drivers, delivery associates, and managers and provide support.
• Manage payments from customers.
• Apply payments to invoices.
• Identify discrepancies between invoices and customer payments.
• Provide backup for department coworkers as needed.
• Balance load sheets by verifying inventory accuracy, matching payments to invoices, and verifying driver entries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
