About The Position

The Driver Check-In Representative supports delivery associates when they return to the facility by reconciling invoices and customer payments. The role works closely with drivers to identify and resolve discrepancies and apply payments to invoices. It also involves answering questions and providing support to drivers, delivery associates, and managers, and helping ensure load sheets and inventory records are accurate.

The position is based in Smyrna, Georgia. The work environment is not temperature controlled and may include heat, high humidity, inclement weather, refrigerated areas, moderate to loud noise, and some dust and fumes from power equipment. The role has physical requirements that include standing and walking, reaching, handling items, and lifting more than average weights, including some overhead lifting.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school or vocational school diploma, or GED equivalent, required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic math computations.
• Able to learn and use the company's technology.
• Able to learn and maintain knowledge of company and products.
• Working knowledge of computerized hand-held devices.
• Knowledge of inventory control and quality control.
• Regular, reliable attendance required.
• Able to frequently operate a pallet jack and/or forklift if assigned.
• Able to stand and walk, reach with arms and hands, lift and carry, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel.
• Able to perform greater than average lifting of 50–65 lbs, with some overhead lifting required.
• Must have close vision, distance vision, and the ability to judge distance.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls from drivers, delivery associates, and managers and provide support.
• Manage payments from customers.
• Apply payments to invoices.
• Identify discrepancies between invoices and customer payments.
• Provide backup for department coworkers as needed.
• Balance load sheets by verifying inventory accuracy, matching payments to invoices, and verifying driver entries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
