About The Position

Core & Main is hiring a CDL driver to deliver products to customers in the local community. The driver serves as the primary customer contact at delivery, loads and unloads products, manages daily delivery routes, and supports warehouse operations during delivery downtime. The role requires safe driving, compliance with Department of Transportation regulations, accurate delivery documentation, and flexibility as customer and delivery priorities change. Requirements

• Valid CDL A.
• At least 1 year of Class A or Class B driving experience.
• Ability to pass pre-employment assessments.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of flatbed driving experience.
• Forklift experience.
• 2 or more years of delivery experience.
• Prior experience loading and unloading products and making job-site deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers and assist with unloading, including ensuring delivery tickets accompany the material.
• Serve as the primary customer contact at the delivery location and contact customers when they are not present.
• Load the truck with daily deliveries and unload products at customer sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, and damage before and after routes.
• Fuel the truck as needed.
• Resolve customer service issues.
• Comply with all DOT standards and regulations.
• Maintain vehicle logs, bills of lading, and other records in accordance with guidelines.
• Plan routes and adjust for traffic or construction.
• Ensure manifests are complete and accurate.
• Assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment and receiving, verifying, staging, and stocking incoming material.
